I am obsessed with these Bagel Cream Cheese Bites!

My kids are back in school so I try to make grab and go breakfast recipes to make life easier in the mornings. Dunkin Donuts sells these Stuffed Bagel Minis that are rolled into everything bagel seasoning and are pricey so I wanted to create them at home.

My kids went crazy for them and I have been making all sorts of variations from cheddar and chive to cream cheese and jam rolled into sugar to everything bagel minis.

These bagel bombs are so easy and simple to make and the options are endless!

  • Rhodes Dinner Rolls — these are the frozen section of the grocery store and I buy that bag of 36 rolls. They range from $2.99 — $5.99 so it is a deal for 36 rolls.
  • Cream Cheese — use full-fat cream cheese
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning — the rolls are rolled into the seasoning before being baked.
  • Egg — this is to brush the rolls with a simple egg wash which helps to keep the moisture of the rolls and helps the everything bagel seasoning to adhere to the rolls while baking.

What is Everything Bagel Seasoning made of?

It consists of sesame seeds, sea salt flakes, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, black sesame seeds, and poppy seeds.

This simple seasoning has become even more popular due to it being the star of the show on avocado toast and on bagels.

How to make Stuffed Bagel Minis:

  • Start by letting the rolls rise for 1 hour in a regular-sized muffin tin. I would suggest spraying the muffin tin with a non-stick cooking spray and placing one roll into each muffin tin.
  • Once the rolls have partially risen (you don’t want them to fully rise into a roll or they will be too fluffy. We want them denser to be more similar to a bagel texture), press each one with the palm of your hand to make a circle.
  • Place a generous amount of cream cheese in the center and spread with a knife. Fold each corner into the center to make a ball, pinching to seal any openings, and roll it into a ball.
  • Make a egg wash by whisking together the egg and brushing it on each roll. Generously sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 14-16 minutes or until a light golden brown color. Serve warm.

    • Jam and Cream Cheese Filled Bagel Bites — use your favorite flavor of jam and stuff each roll with cream cheese and a dollop of jam. Generously sprinkle with sugar before baking.
    • Cheddar Scallion Cream Cheese Filled Bagel Bites — add grated cheddar cheese and a touch of scallions with the cream cheese. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or parmesan cheese.
    • Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagel Bites — add cinnamon sugar to the cream cheese mixture plus sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the roll before baking.
    • Nutella Bombs Stuffed Bagel Minis — fill with Nutella and a touch of cream cheese (or do full Nutella for my chocolate lovers). Sprinkle with sugar before baking.

    Baking Tip:

    When you are filling the rolls with extra filling, make sure to tightly secure them by pinching all of the edges to ensure the fillings don’t come out while baking.

    Storage:

    These Cream Cheese Stuffed Bagel Bites can be kept in an air-tight container at room temperature. You can also place them in the freezer in a freezer bag and defrost them when ready to eat.
